Five on Friday

The last day of January.  Where has time gone?!  Big plans this Sunday for the Super Bowl!  Good food, {hopefully} good commercials and maybe a little football ;)

{one}  This Groundhog better see his shadow on Sunday.  Or not see it?  Whatever it is, he better say Spring is on the way. #overthesnow

{two} My closet continues to get smaller.  There just doesn't seem to be enough room for the things I keep "finding"... O tells me I need to purge.  I know he's right.  I hate when he's right.  While I LOVE to donate to Goodwill, I'd like to make a little money on some of these very nice pieces that I no longer wear.  Traditional or Online Consignment? eBay? Blog post?  What do y'all think?

{three} If you follow me on Instagram (@amparsons29) you saw that I got a fun little package in the mail this week!   I CAN.NOT.WAIT. to tell y'all the details of my drybar purchase!

{four}  Nerd alert.  I logged on to Pinterest the other day, and to my surprise, I see that Ballard Designs has pinned my guest room sample jar!  Just made my day!

{five}  Please be sure to stop by on Monday and link-up your meal plans/recipes/tips!  Grab a little flair while you're here ;)

Happy Weekend, friends!

  1. I completely forgot about Groundhog day, but I'm right there with you. Bring on Spring! It's been way too cold down here in SC! And how exciting Ballard pinned your pin! Oh man, I'd be just as excited as you are!

  2. That's a lot of snow! We had 20 degree temps here for a few days and I was so ready for it to end! So cool Ballard Designs pinned your sample jar!

    1. Girl, I'd take 20 over the negative temps here! Over it!

  3. Hey lady, stopping by from the link-up! I'm with you on the exploding closet!! When I purge clothes, I usually donate 75% but the really nice stuff I consign. The only problem is that they will usually only take the upcoming seasons clothes! You certainly don't get as much $$ as you would selling them on your own...but much less hassle.
    Happy Weekend!! :)

    1. I think its going to be a pain in the rear no matter what I end up doing! I just need to decide which is the lesser of the two evils!

  4. I always go back and forth whether I think Ebay, blog sale, or consignment shop is the way to go. Lately I've been bringing my stuff to the consignment shop because it's less work. :)

    1. Ours around here must be high maintenance...or I'm just lazy. They want it all pressed/dry cleaned and on hangers. Wayyy too much work for me!

  7. I feel the same exact way about my closet but I tend to be a bit of a hoarder so cleaning things out really isn't an option. Maybe someday?! I know a ton of people will sell their stuff on Instagram or through their blogs - I'm sure it would be pretty simple. Good luck and enjoy your weekend! xo

    1. I too have mild hoarding tendencies, which is why i still have clothes from 10 (or 15...) years ago..

  10. I would love for spring to be here soon!! And I think I've scheduled closet organizing/cleaning out to happen when the warmer weather comes--but in the meantime, I'm even keeping winter clothes I don't like, just because I want to be warm!
